Waiting in the Wings
As a musician, what holiday season would be complete without a holiday concert. I was lucky enough to play one in this beautiful venue! I took this shot during my least favorite time of a concert...waiting for it to begin. Everyone's ready but we can't start...horrible feeling. horrible. Yet, as I look at what will be my perch for the next hour or so (the piano), I think back to all the concerts, all the shows that I have been a part of...the ones completed over the years. That horrible feeling is partly why we do this. What will go wrong? What will be awesome? How will the audience react?
Will we actually have fun? Those questions all get answered.
And the trip there is the best feeling. best.
