or I think I found out why the cat won't touch the tree
I thought that I had the best cat ever because she hasn't touched the tree.
No climbing, no batting, not even a sniff.
Then I sat down on the floor and took this picture from a cat's perspective...
I think the bright lights and color scare the poor thing. Bailey is not known for her courage and this tree looks a little psychedelic from this angle. The curiosity has not risen to the degree that it overpowers the scaredy-cat. Not that she runs from it -- the only thing it's good for is a wonderful hiding spot!
